NOTICE OF PUBLIC ADVERTISEMENT OF PLANNING PROPOSAL

Submissions now open – Development Application

The Shire of Katanning has received a development application, seeking approval to establish a ‘warehouse /storage’ facility (bulk grain storage), a ‘caretakers dwelling’ and an ‘office’ at Lot 2809 Great Southern Highway, Katanning.

Lot 2809 Great Southern Highway is located on the townsite’s western fringe.

The development application is available as a hard copy at the Shire office (52 Austral Terrace, Katanning), or can be viewed electronically on the Shire’s website at the following link: https://www.katanning.wa.gov.au/publicnotices/  

Making a Submission

Comments on the proposal are now invited and can be emailed to admin@katanning.wa.gov.au or posted to the Shire’s Chief Executive Officer at PO Box 130 KATANNING WA 6317 by no later than 5pm Friday 8 May 2026.

All submissions must include the following information:

• Your name, contact telephone number and your organisation (if applicable); and
• A detailed description of how your interests would be affected by the development and any other supporting comments.
