Notice of proposed disposition of property under section 3.58 of the Local Government Act 1995 (WA)
 

The Shire of Katanning proposes to lease a 32,292m² section of the Old Saleyard site on Dore St Katanning comprising all of Lots 531-534 and a portion of Lots 505-509.  The lease is to Capital Bulk Pty Ltd acting as trustee for Commodity Ag, for a term of 2 years commencing October 2026, for an initial annual rent of $20,000 ex GST.  The rent will be escalated by CPI, annually.
 

The market value of this disposition was determined by an independent valuer on 24 August 2026 and a rental value of $17,940 per annum plus GST was determined.

The Shire is inviting public comment to be made via post to Shire of Katanning, PO Box 130, Katanning WA 6317 or via email to admin@katanning.w.a.gov.au on or before 4.00pm, Friday 25 September 2026.
