Arc Infrastructure wishes to advise that they will be undertaking level crossing renewal/upgrade works on behalf of Main Roads WA at the following level crossings at Katanning in the 2018/2019 financial year:
- SP64 LX535, Drove St West, Katanning 278.337km Section 31
- SP65 LX536, Drove St East, Katanning 278.337km Section 31
The scope of works for those level crossing renewal/upgrade works is to install:
- Flashlight masts with back to back flashlights with 2 LEDs on each side (2m from the edge of the road)
- Cable pits and cable routes
- Retaining Wall for Flashlight Masts
- Guardrail on Retaining Wall
- Location Cases and its concrete foundation
- Western Power green dome for power supply
Please note that the above is essential to provide safe operation of level crossing active protection system and Arc Infrastructure is performing these works under the level crossing agreement with MRWA.
Our contractor UGL will perform the construction work and the majority will take place within the rail corridor and we will endeavour to cause minimal impact to the community.
Exact dates of the commissioning will be provided to the Shire closer to the commencement of the works.
