SHIRE OF KATANNING - REVIEW OF WARDS AND REPRESENTATION

The Shire of Katanning is conducting a review of its wards and representation and invites public participation in the review.

Ward boundaries and the number of offices of councillor for each ward will be reviewed against the following five factors:

Community of interest
Physical and topographic features
Demographic trends
Economic factors
Ratio of councillors to electors in the various wards.

A discussion paper is available here outlining the current situation and several alternative options.

Public submissions are invited and must be submitted by 30 September 2020 to the Shire of Katanning at:
