The Shire recently invited public tenders for the management and operation of the Katanning Aquatic Centre, following the conclusion of the previous contract. As part of the process the Shire submitted an in-house tender to compare and assess its own ability to deliver the service within a competitive market to ensure best value for money for the Katanning Community. At the Ordinary Council Meeting held on 27 August 2019, the Council moved unanimously to appoint Belgravia Leisure for a 3-year term commencing in time for the 2019/2020 pool season.

Belgravia Leisure has demonstrated through the tender process that it has the capacity to deliver the required services to the community of Katanning and the potential to increase participation, community satisfaction and engagement. Shire President, Liz Guidera said “Our community swimming pool is a place for fun and exercise, social interaction and relaxation for individuals and families. We welcome Belgravia Leisure to Katanning and look forward to the coming season”.

Belgravia Leisure is now advertising for staff to join its team at the Katanning Aquatic Centre.
