The Shire of Katanning will implement additional measures aimed at slowing the spread of COVID 19.
The following facilities will be closed to the public from 12 Noon Friday 27 March 2020:
- Shire of Katanning Administration and Civic Centre
- Katanning All Ages Playground and Skate Park
- Prosser Park Playground
- Katanning RV Overnight Rest Area
- All public toilets (except Lions Park Changing Places and the Katanning Town Square)
The following facilities will remain closed:
- Katanning Library and Gallery
- Katanning Leisure Centre
- Katanning Aquatic Centre
These facilities will be closed until further notice. The Shire will continue to take into consideration advice from Government and Health Authorities.
The Katanning Waste Site will remain open for normal operating hours.
While the public will not be able to attend the Shire Administration and Civic Centre, many transactions such as payment of rates and Shire accounts can be made by credit card, online, over the phone or by direct debit arrangements.
Shire staff will continue to provide services, but not with face to face contact and customers may experience delays as we transition to operate and provide service in a different way.

We urge the community to stay home as much as possible and avoid unnecessary public gatherings. We also ask that you do not use barbecues, play equipment and outdoor gym equipment in the town parks and recreation areas.
