Project Update: Katanning to Kojonup pipeline replacement – June 2023

Work overview
Water Corporation’s authorised contractor Benang Energy, has begun work to replace 2.2 km of the Katanning to Kojonup pipeline in Katanning. The work is being undertaken to reduce the risk of future leaks and breaks and will increase the reliability of water supply to customers. Work to date has focussed on installation of new pipeline in private land southwest of Great Southern Highway, connecting to Kojonup-Katanning Road. The next stage is now ready to commence in Pemble Street.

What is happening?
Work along the southern side of Pemble Street will commence Monday 26 June near Hassell St (Stage 1 on the below map) and progress towards Great Southern Highway in sections. This part of the work will take approximately 3 months.

Work will take place Monday to Friday 7am to 5.30pm. Water Corporation will advise if weekend work is required.
