Thank you to the Hon. Shelley Payne MLC who visited Katanning today to present a $536,344 Lotterywest Grant to Shire of Katanning Deputy President John Goodheart for the Katanning Early Childhood Hub project. 

The presentation which was held at the Shire Administration and Civic Centre was attended by Shire of Katanning Councillors, Staff and members of the Katanning Community. 

The Katanning Early Childhood Hub project will deliver a hub of three essential facilities including a Family Centre, Community & Child Health Offices and Child Care. The Hub will activate currently vacant land (in Bokarup Street, Katanning) and integrate community facilities that are a vital component of creating healthy communities, supporting social inclusion and enhancing the wellbeing of local residents. 

Architectural plans for the project are currently being developed with the construction phase of the project expected to begin in early 2023. The project has also received funding from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development and the Shire of Katanning.
