GREAT SOUTHERN HIGHWAY: KATANNING SOUTH

Main Roads will soon commence widening 4.5km of Great Southern Highway immediately south of the Katanning townsite. Preliminary clearing and site preparations were undertaken in December 2018 and road widening works are expected to commence from 7 January 2019 (weather and all else permitting).

SCHEDULED WORKS

Location: Great Southern Highway - Strickland St to 700m south of Schultz Road
Date: Construction will commence early in January 2019 (weather and all else permitting)
Time: 7:00 am to 5:30 pm

Works will be undertaken in 1km sections.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

Due to the nature of the works, traffic will be reduced to a single lane 24 hours, 7 days a week during construction.

Access to Greenhills Road, Bushy Lane Road and Schultz Road will be maintained for local traffic only.

Side tracks will be in operation around bridge works which will be under stop / slow traffic control.
