Past Event

Wear Orange Wednesday (WOW Day) is an opportunity to recognise the State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers for their hard work and dedication to serving the community.

These highly skilled volunteers respond to a range of incidents including storm and flood damage, land searches, vertical rescues and road crash rescues.

This year is particularly momentous for our Western Australian volunteers with the SES celebrating 60 years of service to the community.

This year’s WOW Day celebrations will be on Wednesday 22 May and is a chance to wear something orange to thank your local SES volunteers. We encourage you to share images of you and your community celebrating WOW Day on social media, using the hashtag #thankyouSES.
