Containers for Change

Containers for Change is Western Australia’s new container deposit scheme starting on 1 October 2020. When you recycle with Containers for Change, you get a 10 cent refund for every eligible container you return at your local refund point. This refund can be paid in cash (up to $50) or by the means of a Scheme ID.
Community groups, clubs and more can register for a scheme-ID at http://customer.containersforchange.com.au/create-account?scheme=WA. With a scheme- ID customers can receive their 10 cents eligible container refund via EFT.
Customers can also elect to donate their refund to their chosen registered charity, school or community organisation using that organisation’s scheme ID. This works when the customer gives the groups or charities details or scheme ID when their containers are dropped off at the refund point.
