Mosquito Control

The control of mosquitoes within the Katanning townsite is an ongoing process. It is simply not possible to eliminate all mosquitoes therefore it is important for people to take personal measures to reduce the risk of contracting disease and to reduce the breeding of nuisance mosquitoes.

It is important to eliminate breeding areas in your backyard. Anything that holds water can become a breeding area e.g. old tyres, pot plant drip trays, rainwater tanks, birdbaths and ornamental ponds and guttering.
